Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 3, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the Zoset platform (which includes the website, mobile app, and related escrow and chat services), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must cease using the Platform immediately.
Zoset operates as an Outfit Listing Marketplace, facilitating circular-economy fashion exchanges between users. All policy agreements are timestamped and permanently logged in our database when you complete your user profile.
2. User Accounts & Registration
To access listing, buying, and chat features, users must complete their profile registration. The registration process includes:
- Authentication: Logging in via phone number OTP and verifying interactions with Cloudflare Turnstile CAPTCHA.
- Username Immutability: Choosing a unique, permanent username (lowercase, containing no capital letters or hyphens). Once set, usernames cannot be changed.
- Smart Location Checks: Providing address details verified in real-time by linking selected Cities and States using the India Post API (
api.postalpincode.in) to lock valid pincodes. - Boutique Shop Upgrades: Standard users can apply for a "Shop" upgrade. Approved shops display their custom boutique identity globally, prefixing newly generated Product IDs with their slugified Shop Name instead of their username.
3. Listings & Credits Model
Sellers listing products on the Platform are subject to the following marketplace listing credits model:
- Credit Requirement: Completing payout onboarding (UPI ID and mobile number verification) grants new accounts 2 free listing credits.
- Credit Freezing: Submitting a product listing for admin moderation temporarily freezes 1 credit.
- Rejection & Approval: If approved by an admin, the credit is permanently consumed. If rejected (with an admin note), the credit is unfrozen and returned to your balance.
- Credit Packs: Once free credits are exhausted, sellers must purchase Credit Packs (₹99 for 3 credits) to submit new listings. Credits are one-time consumables and are not returned upon deleting or selling items.
- Post-Approval Locking: Once a listing is approved and active, it is locked from direct edits. Sellers must submit an Edit Request for admin re-evaluation to adjust details (like pricing).
4. Escrow & Order Fulfillment
To establish mutual trust, Zoset handles all financial transactions via a secure escrow payment middleman structure:
💵The Escrow Model & Concurrency
Because marketplace outfits are unique items (quantity = 1), adding an item to a cart does not reserve it. We use optimistic locking at checkout: the first buyer to complete the payment wins the item. Zoset holds the funds in escrow. Once delivery is confirmed, funds are manually routed to the seller's registered UPI ID.
⚠️Sole Responsibility: Escrow Funds Only
Zoset's sole role and liability is the secure management and routing of transaction funds in escrow. We are NOT responsible or liable for any clothing-related issues, including but not limited to: fabric quality, item condition, size/fit, cleanliness, color mismatch, authenticity, defects, or courier shipping damage. We merely hold and manage the payment until the tracking system confirms the package has been delivered, at which point the seller receives their payment. Both buyers and sellers transact at their own risk regarding all physical attributes of the outfits.
The 72-Hour Shipping Rule: Once an order is paid, the seller must ship the outfit within 72 hours, select the courier (India Post, Blue Dart, DTDC, or Delhivery) in the platform, and paste the tracking ID. Failure to do so will result in order cancellation and a manual refund to the buyer.
5. Timeline Chat & Video Proofs
To protect users from fraud, Zoset coordinates communication through a unified Timeline Chat system:
📹Mandatory Packaging & Unboxing Videos
Sellers are strictly required to upload a Packaging Video in the chat before shipping. Buyers are required to record and upload an Unboxing Video upon receiving the package. These videos serve as definitive proof. If a dispute arises, admins review both videos to determine escrow resolution.
Auto-Complete Policy: To protect sellers from buyers who forget to verify delivery, orders are automatically marked as completed 48 hours after courier APIs verify delivery status, initiating the UPI payout process.
6. Disputes & Admin Discretion
In the event of lost shipments, damages, or mismatch, Zoset reviews chat history and video logs to arbitrate. For instances where packages are returned to origin (RTO) due to incorrect addresses, Zoset administrators have sole discretion to issue partial payouts to compensate sellers for shipping costs and refund remaining balances.
